DANIELCANZIAN RISTORANTE
Milan, Italy
2026
Riva1920 oversaw the production of the bespoke furnishings for the renovation of DanielCanzian Ristorante, in the heart of Brera, Milan, strengthening through materiality the chef’s connection with his Venetian roots.
At the heart of the project is Briccola wood, sourced from the historic wooden poles of the Venice Lagoon. Among the most distinctive pieces is VENICE, designed by Claudio Bellini and reinterpreted as a social table by Maurizio Riva and Daniel Canzian, with an extra-clear glass top supported by seven custom-made Briccola poles.
Riva1920 also created furnishings for the entrance, reception area and dining room, as well as a new oak chef’s table.
The project is completed by trays and bowls in Venetian Briccola, custom-made to Daniel Canzian’s design, bringing the same material used in the furnishings directly to the table.
